Sympraxis (Σύμπραξη) is a citizen initiative operated through www.sympraxis.com.cy. Our purpose is to empower citizens of Cyprus to actively participate in civic matters through petitions and formal letters to relevant authorities.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data when you use the platform:

Account Information: Email address and password (encrypted) when you sign up, as well as your display name.

Petition Content: Title, description, and category of petitions you create. These are displayed publicly on the platform.

Signatures: When you sign a petition, your name is displayed publicly as a supporter.

Letter Generation: When you generate a formal letter, your petition content is sent to an external service to generate the text. We do not store this data beyond generating the letter.

Cookies: We use authentication cookies (session cookies) via Supabase to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

• Create and manage your account. • Display petitions and signatures on the platform. • Automatically generate formal letters. • Send confirmation emails and account-related notifications.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is shared only with the following service providers necessary for platform operation:

• Supabase (authentication and database, EU servers). • Vercel (website hosting). • Resend (email delivery). • Anthropic (automated letter generation).

5. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Access your data. • Correct inaccurate data. • Delete your account and data. • Object to processing. • Data portability.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including password encryption, HTTPS usage, and secure hosting providers. However, no method of internet transmission or data storage is 100% secure.
